International meet on emergency medicine this week


Puducherry will host the World Conference on Emergency Medicine Education (WCEME 2025) at the Aarupadai Veedu Medical College, Vinayaka Mission’s Puducherry Campus, in collaboration with the Association of Emergency Medicine Educators, this week.

The event, which is scheduled from September 25 to 28 (2025), will bring together some of the most distinguished minds in the field of emergency medicine, the organising committee said.

The WCEME 2025 will feature the participation of 12 eminent international faculty and over 60 renowned national experts in addition to delegates from premier institutions such as PGIMER Chandigarh, AIIMS Delhi and Rishikesh and JIPMER, and top universities across India.

A four-day academic programme will devote the first two to pre-conference workshops, including 10 specialised sessions led by international faculty. Three exclusive masterclasses, hands-on workshops, and structured pathway programs tailored for undergraduates, allied health professionals, and faculty development.

For student representatives from medical colleges across India, the conference offer an opportunity for knowledge sharing, skill development, and international academic collaboration, organisers said.
