Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Monday exhorted BJP functionaries to work towards securing a second term for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Puducherry next year.

Mr. Meghwal, who was on a two-day visit to Puducherry, made the appeal while participating in the executive committee meeting of BJP’s Puducherry unit. He urged party cadres to work for the victory of NDA candidates in the Assembly polls. The party workers should concentrate at the booth level to ensure the victory of alliance, he said.

BJP president V.P. Ramalingam expressed confidence in the victory of NDA candidates in next year’s Assembly polls. The alliance will return to power with a landslide win, he said in his address. 

The party executive meeting also discussed about the participation of BJP workers in the Grah Sampark Abhiyan programme of RSS, planned as part of the organisation’s centenary celebrations from November 2 and the birth anniversary celebrations of the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and tribal icon Birsa Munda, the BJP said in a release.

Home Minister A. Namassivayam, Minister (portfolio not yet allocated) A. John Kumar, party legislators A.K. Sai J Saravanan Kumar, P.M.L. Kalyanasundaram, and Richards John Kumar attended the executive meeting, the release added.
