The Vitla police on Wednesday, arrested a 38 year-old man on charges of possessing MDMA to sell it to others and recovered 17.97 grams contraband worth ₹1.79 lakh.
Police gave the name of the accused as G. Ashraf, resident of Bhagavanthakodi, Netnamudnur village in Bantwal taluk. Police Sub-Inspector M. Rathnakumar raided his house with a police team after getting information that the accused had kept the contraband to sell it to general public. Police also recovered a knife from the accused.
