Manas Dhamne outplayed Cesar Bouchelaghem of France 6-2, 6-0 in the final of the $15,000 ITF men’s tennis tournament in Monastir, Tunisia, on Sunday.

It was the second title in the professional circuit for the 17-year-old Manas who trains at the Piatti Centre in Italy, thanks to the backing of the IMG group. He is also supported by the Maharashtra Tennis Association and has competed in 62 professional tournaments around the world so far, with a 92-60 win-loss record.

There was more cheer for Indian tennis, as Rutuja Bhosale won the doubles title in the $60,000 women’s event in France with Naiktha Bains of Britain. It was her third doubles title of the season for the 29-year-old Rutuja, and the 28th of her career.

In fact, Rutuja and Naiktha were winning their second successive title, following the one in Roehampton last month.

The results: $60,000 ITF women, Le Neubourg, France: Doubles (final): Naiktha Bains (GBR) & Rutuja Bhosale bt Polina Latcenko & Sofya Lansere 6-2, 1-6, [10-6].

$15,000 ITF men, Monastir, Tunisia: Singles (final): Manas Dhamne bt Cesar Bouchelaghem (Fra) 6-2, 6-0.
