The RK Nagar police retrieved the body of a man from a storm-water drain near the railway tracks in Royapuram on Tuesday night.
A senior city police official said, on being alerted by those residing along the railway tracks, they went to the spot between Shivaji Nagar and Kumaran Nagar, and recovered the body of the man, supposed to be around 45 years of age.
After filing a case, they sent the body for a post-mortem.
