Maxx Crosby Posts Emotional Farewell to Raiders After Trade to Ravens

NFL superstar Maxx Crosby is saying an emotional goodbye to Raiders Nation.

“Alright y’all, I can’t believe that this is a real thing,” Crosby said in a Saturday, March 8, post via X. “It’s been seven years being with the nation. Raiders Nation has given me everything.”

In the nearly 13-minute video, Crosby, 28, thanked the Las Vegas Raiders, wishing the organization and its fans the best, while looking forward to the upcoming NFL season with his new team, the Baltimore Ravens.

“One thing I can say, above all else, is I gave y’all everything I got and I have no regrets about that,” Crosby said. “I put everything into trying to win as a Raider.”

Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby was seemingly unhappy with the team’s decision to bench him for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. With the No. 1 overall draft pick potentially on the line in that Sunday, December 28, matchup, the Raiders announced on Friday that Crosby will not play in the game due […]

The video comes a day after Crosby was traded to the Ravens, ending a seven-year stint with the Raiders that saw Crosby rise to superstardom on the defensive line.

Crosby entered the league as the Raiders’ fourth round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and has been with the organization ever since. Through Crosby’s seven years with the team, the Raiders only made the playoffs once in 2021 — a Wild Card round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

In the video, Crosby described that 2021 season as “the most fun I ever had playing football.”

“Ever since I’ve been here, man, I’ve had one goal and one mission, and that’s to become the best version of myself and help bring a championship back to the Raiders organization,” Crosby said. “I feel like I left everything I had on the table for this team. I’ve given my heart and soul, and I feel like I’ve let you guys down, man.”

Despite the ongoing trade rumors surrounding Crosby at the end of the 2025-2026 NFL season and into the offseason, Crosby made it clear that he didn’t see things coming to an end with the Raiders so soon.

“It was a whirlwind, man,” Crosby said. “I never thought I would be in this position. I never thought I’d be going anywhere else, truly, but God works in mysterious ways. I didn’t plan on things to be like this, but things happen for a reason and I truly believe that.”

Crosby played his last game with the Raiders on Week 16 of last season, after which the team placed him on Injured Reserve due to a knee injury.

At the time, he seemed unhappy with the decision and left the team’s practice facility after hearing the news.

In Saturday’s video, Crosby said he has “zero ill will for the organization,” thanking the team owners and executives for the opportunities to play and thrive in Las Vegas.

“I bleed silver and black, that will never change. I’m a Raider for life,” Crosby said, adding that he wants to retire in a Raiders jersey “whenever that time comes.”

He then turned the page to his newfound career with the Ravens, saying his “one purpose” is to bring a Super Bowl to Baltimore.

“The whole city of Baltimore … I’m coming in guns blazing,” he said. “I’m going to be myself and I’m going to give everything I have in my heart and soul to be the best player I can possibly be, to help be the best leader, best example, on a daily basis.”
