Minister for Municipal Administration P. Narayana on Tuesday (December 09) inspected major infrastructure works underway across Amaravati, and said that development in the capital region is progressing at a renewed pace. The review covered the construction of the Seed Access Road, the proposed steel bridge over the Guntur Channel, and ongoing infrastructure creation in farmers’ returnable plots. ADC Chairperson Devarakonda Lakshmiparthasarathy Bhasker and engineering officials accompanied the Minister.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Narayana said that infrastructure work in the allotted farmer plots is advancing swiftly, adding that drains, roads and other amenities will be completed within two years. The Seed Access Road will soon be linked to the Mangalagiri Road and opened for public use. He stated that further land pooling will be taken up in accordance with project requirements.
The Minister assured that issues related to Lanka and assigned lands taken during land pooling will be resolved in the next Cabinet meeting. Except for Zones 11 and 8, works are progressing rapidly across 29 Amaravati villages. Of the 66,000 returnable flats, only 7,000 remain to be registered, with 30 to 60 farmers completing registrations daily. Officials have been deployed to facilitate up to 1,000 registrations a day. “Farmers should come forward and complete their flat registrations,” Narayana appealed.
