Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Ramdas M. Pai, Chancellor of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), on his 90th birthday.
In an official letter, Mr. Modi praised Dr. Pai’s lifelong contributions to the fields of health and education, which have brought him national recognition and respect, including the Padma Bhushan, said a release.
Mr Modi stated that the Manipal Group continues to make strides with its focus on quality learning across various fields.
The Prime Minister also highlighted Dr. Pai’s role as an academic leader and visionary educationist, who transformed higher education in India and promoted cultural exchange and innovation. He further highlighted the importance of Manipal institutions, now among India’s leading institutions of quality learning, in helping achieve the national vision of Viksit Bharat.
