Murtys declining to take part in Karnataka’s Social and Educational Survey gets social media traction

While several social media posts shared what was purportedly a self-declaration letter by Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murty, declining to take part in the ongoing Social and Educational Survey, the GBA authorities refused to comment, citing privacy issues.

GBA Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao said he could not disclose the reasons mentioned by the couple.

BJP leader S. Suresh Kumar, in a social media post, demanded to know how the document could be leaked, when the government had promised that data collected would be secure.
