Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.

Taylor Swift has announced “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” will be coming to cinemas on October 3-5. She shared, “You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single “The Fate of Ophelia” along with never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl. Looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan… Tickets are on sale now. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged. Showtimes may vary, so check your local listings. Sabrina Carpenter will make her Grand Ole Opry debut in Nashville on October 7th coinciding with the show’s historic 100-year anniversary celebration. Sabrina is celebrating her latest album, Man’s Best Friend, which debuted at #1 on Billboard 200. Next month, she will start the second sold-out North American leg of her Short n’ Sweet Tour and will host and perform on “Saturday Night Live” on October 18.

John Legend, Irving Azoff, Kai Cenat, Apple & Apple Music, Sherrese Clarke and Primary Wave Music were honored at the 5th Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) Gala at The Beverly Hilton. Co-hosted by Mickey Guyton and Kenny Burns, the celebration honored artists, executives, activists and brands who are unapologetically leveraging their platforms to advance equity, inspire action and ignite lasting change. Mickey kicked off the gala with a moving performance of “Black Like Me.” Earth, Wind & Fire made a surprise performance to honor Irving Azoff as he received the BMAC Icon Award. John Legend received a standing ovation and accepted the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award. He said in his acceptance speech, “Use your voice, use your platform, use your influence to fiercely protect those who are being brave, to shield the truth tellers facing retribution, to make space for more of us because the fight is as urgent as it’s ever been. Excellence is beautiful, it’s important, but freedom is more important.” Other surprise appearances included Babyface, Cee Lo Green and Michelle West. Willie “Prophet” Stiggers (BMAC CEO/Co-Founder/President) also spoke about BMAC’s impact and evolution over the past five years. He shared “BMAC is no longer just an organization. We are in fact the movement rooted in accountability and action, an unwavering believe that the future of music must be as just and as free and as powerful as the music itself.”

Coachella announced the 2026 lineup for April 10-12 and April 17-19, 2006 with headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, Karol G and Anyma. Other performers include Teddy Swims, KATSEYE, The Strokes, Addison Rae, SOMBR, Young Thug, Laufey, FKA twigs, Clipse and more.

The Latin Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards. Bad Bunny leads with 12, including two for Record Of The Year and Edgar Barrera, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso have 10 each, Rafa Arcaute, Natalia Lafourcade, Roberto Rosado, Federico Vindver have 8 each. Other nominees include Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Gloria Estefan, Maluma and more. A new field (Visual Media) and two categories (Best Music For Visual Media and Best Roots Song) were added this year. The awards will be held on November 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The three hour telecast will air across TelevisaUnivision’s U.S. platforms.

The 2025 iHeartRadio Music Festival Presented by Capital One is taking place September 19 and 20 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The two-day lineup will feature performances from Bryan Adams, Diplo, Ed Sheeran, Feid, GloRilla, Jelly Roll, John Fogerty, Justice, Lil Wayne, LL COOL J, Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, Sammy Hagar, Tate McRae, The Offspring and Tim McGraw. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the festival will be livestreamed each night exclusively on Hulu.

Laura Pausini will be honored with the Billboard Icon Award and perform during the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The awards will broadcast live on Telemundo on October 23.

This is a return home for her since the label served as Madonna’s label for the first 25 years of her career. Her new dance album will be her first studio album in seven years. Madonna shared, “I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”
