The MGM Group of Hospitals on Saturday rolled out a Basic Life Support (BLS) training programme across 77 locations in line with Republic Day 2026.

According to a press release, India is witnessing an alarming rise in sudden cardiac arrests, including among younger adults. The initiative focused on bridging the critical gap between the onset of a cardiac emergency and timely medical intervention as bystander Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation rates remain critically low.

“One Nation. One Skill. Infinite Lives.”, the CSR initiative, trained 770+ persons across Chennai, Madurai, Visakhapatnam, and some other districts. The training sessions were conducted across public spaces, educational institutions, corporate parks and communities in Chennai and a few districts, the release said.
