Prathyusha Rachapudi was fluent in her victory over Aditi Rawat in the ITF women’s tennis tournament in Gurugram on Tuesday.

Paavanii Paathak stroked with intensity to oust Pooja Ingale 6-4, 6-3 in the first round of the $15,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament at the Tennnis Project, Baliawas, on Tuesday.
After having played such a sparkling match against Paola Lopez in the second round last week at the same venue, this was a dampener for Pooja who had the game to call the shots.
However, Paavanii played with conviction and showed a better degree of focus to prevail in a baseline battle.
Paavanii will meet the winner of the match between third seed Elena Jamshidi and Sofia Suslova.
In another match, Prathyusha Rachapudi capitalised on her diligent training at the venue for the last few days to beat the talented left-hander Aditi Rawat in straight sets.
Prathyusha will next meet the winner of the match between Saumya Vig and Eva Desvignes.
