
Vice-Chancellor of St Aloysius (deemed to be university), Mangaluru, Praveen Martis and Principal, Sophia College, Ajmer, Rajasthan, Pearl D’Souza were elected as president and vice-president of Xavier Board of Higher Education in Mangaluru.
Praveen Martis, Vice-Chancellor of St. Aloysius (deemed to be university), Mangaluru, has been elected as the president of Xavier Board of Higher Education during the board’s 25th triennial conference held recently at St Aloysius.
According to a press release, Principal, Sophia College, Ajmer, Rajasthan, Pearl D’Souza was elected as the vice-president.
The newly elected office-bearers and board members had their first meeting. Members of eight regions met regional office-bearers.
During the four days of the conference, there were sessions on topics namely digital citizenship and social alchemy; fostering future-ready talent; transforming teacher education for holistic and future-ready educators, and bridging the gap in Indian nursing eucation.
Presenters and moderators from premier institutions showcased best practices and successful models of institutional innovation, the release stated.
