Freedom Sunflower Oil has launched a consumer awareness campaign with former Indian cricket captain Rahul Dravid urging buyers to adopt a ‘Pack Review System’ (PRS) to verify the actual quantity of edible oil in 1-litre pouches.
The initiative highlights that some brands sell packs resembling 1-litre pouches but containing less than the mandated 910 gm. The campaign urges consumers to read labels, compare prices, and check quantity.
Rahul Dravid praised GEF India for empowering customers to become the ‘third umpire’ against misleading practices.
Company representatives said PRS will strengthen market transparency and consumer trust.
