A three-day exhibition of raw materials for the Micro, Small and Medium-scale manufacturing industries in Coimbatore took off at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex on Thursday.
With more than 70 stalls, the event has on display iron, aluminium, and copper raw materials used widely by the engineering sector in the district and also industrial use chemicals.
The event has dealers, wholesalers and manufacturers displaying their products. The MSME manufacturers have received financial support from the Small Industries Development Bank of India to participate in the fair, said M. Karthikeyan, president of CODISSIA, which has organised the fair.
There are also government organisations such as the National Small Industries Corporation and financial institutions who have put up stalls at the event.
V. Saravanakumar, chairman of the event, the event is an opportunity for the participating companies to display their wide range of products to the MSMEs in Coimbatore. There will be seminars on the schemes of organisations such as NSIC and SIDBI.
The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and visitors should register online by logging on to visitor.codissia.com
