On October 27, Amul unveiled a special doodle in his memory, paying homage to Shah’s illustrious career with a clever one-liner inspired by his classic film — “Hasaane Bhi Do Yaaron.” The artwork featured a smiling caricature reminiscent of Shah’s beloved on-screen persona, capturing his signature wit and charm that endeared him to millions.
The tribute struck an emotional chord with fans and industry colleagues alike. Among the many who shared the post was Rupali Ganguly, who played Shah’s daughter-in-law Monisha in the hit Star One sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Reposting the Amul tribute on her Instagram, she wrote, “Was waiting to see what @Amul_Coop came up with for my shining star… My Kaka forever a legend @sats45.”
Rupali’s heartfelt note reflected the deep bond she shared with the late actor, fondly referred to as “Kaka” by her and her co-stars. Following his demise, the Anupama actress attended the prayer meet along with the entire Sarabhai vs Sarabhai cast, including Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, and Rajesh Kumar. The team paid an emotional tribute by singing the iconic theme song of their show, remembering the man who brought Indravadhan Sarabhai to life — a character etched forever in television history.
