Dr. K. Shantha Breast Cancer Foundation (SBCF), a non-profit trust, organised a free mammogram screening camp for over 70 women personnel of the Tiruchi City Police on Saturday.
According to an official release, the camp, part of the trust’s ‘Pink October’ awareness programme, was inaugurated by N. Kamini, Commissioner of Police, Tiruchi City, at the K.K. Police Ground. K. N. Srinivasan, radiation oncologist, and secretary of SBCF, was present.
SBCF will be hosting the “Mammorun” and “Mammonite” on October 26 to spread awareness and encourage early detection of breast cancer.
