The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination began in 96 centres in Tirunelveli district on Wednesday.
The centres are located in 84 government and government-aided schools, 11 matriculation higher secondary schools and the Palayamkottai Central Prison. Private candidates are appearing at six centres.
