A 25-year-old security guard was found dead at his residence in Gachibowli on Monday night. Police suspect that he ended his life allegedly due to mental distress linked to family-related issues.
The deceased was identified as Vishal Dahariya, a native of Janjgir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh. He was employed as a security guard at the Wipro-Microsoft campus in Gachibowli. For the past two months, he was living in Keshav Nagar, Gowlidoddi, with his elder sister, Seema Ratre, and her husband.
According to the complaint lodged by Ratre, in the early hours of January 6, Vishal, who was allegedly mentally disturbed for some time, had chosen to live away from the rest of the family.
On January 5, Ratre, her husband and others left for work while Vishal, who had a weekly off, remained alone at home. When she returned around 8.30 p.m., she found the house locked from inside. Suspicious, she peeped through a window and found her brother lifeless inside.
The door was broken open and the police were informed. Based on a complaint, police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Further inquiry is under way to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death.
