Six persons belonging to Bangladesh who were in Tiruppur purportedly for employment with fake documents were arrested on Saturday (February 21, 2026) by a team of the Delhi police for supposed links with suspected terrorist elements behind the pasting of pro-Pakistan posters, threatening Indian security forces days before the Republic Day celebration last month.

A police team investigating into the posters that featured high-profile ‘wanted’ Khalistani and Jihadi terrorists camped in Tiruppur and narrowed down on one accused in Ammapalayam, three in Palladam and two persons in Uthukuli. They were interrogated at the Tiruppur North Police Station.

The accused identified as Mijanur Rahman, (33), Mohammed Saphet (35), Omar (32), Mohammed Liton (40), Mohammed Jageeth (40), and Mohammed Ujal (29) were subjected to medical examination and produced before the Judicial Magistrate III, before being taken to Delhi by train.
