The first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been released, marking Tom Holland’s return as Spider-Man in his fourth standalone film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31.

Set several years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the new installment follows Peter Parker living in isolation after choosing to erase his identity from the world. The trailer emphasises a more solitary version of the character, now fully dedicated to protecting New York City without the support of friends or family who no longer remember him.
The footage introduces a darker tone, with Peter grappling with the emotional cost of his decision while facing an escalating wave of crime. A voiceover in the trailer suggests the personal toll of his role, noting that sometimes Spider-Man must make choices “even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.”
The film also teases a new physical challenge for the character, hinting at unexpected changes that could impact his abilities. Alongside this, a broader mystery involving a series of connected crimes begins to unfold, pointing toward a major new antagonist.

Returning cast members include Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned, although their relationship with Peter remains altered. New additions to the cast include Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role, alongside Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. The trailer also confirms the return of Michael Mando’s Scorpion and introduces the criminal figure Tombstone, expanding the film’s roster of adversaries.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings-fame, the film is produced by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, continuing the partnership behind the previous Spider-Man entries.
