‘Sri Sathya Sai Run and Ride’ on January 25 in Vizag


The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations (Andhra Pradesh) will host the ‘Sri Sathya Sai Run and Ride – 2026’ at RK Beach here on Sunday morning (January 25, 2026) to commemorate the birth centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shankha Brata Bagchi and R. Lakshmana Rao, State President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, will flag off the run at 5:15 a.m. from Kalimata Temple on the Beach Road.

The event with themes “Spirit of Unity” and “Fit India Movement” is designed to promote physical fitness and communal harmony, said the organisers in a release here on Saturday (January 24).

The initiative includes both running and cycling categories across two distances – 3K Category (aimed at beginners and those promoting a message of harmony) and 5K Category (targeted at fitness enthusiasts).

Participation is open to citizens aged 15 years and above from all walks of life. The organisers stated that the event serves as a unique platform to bring the community together through the shared goals of health and national integration.

Local authorities including City Police and GVMC have made necessary arrangements along the RK Beach stretch to ensure a smooth flow for the participants.
