Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja recently experienced a moment of panic when she misplaced the solitaire engagement ring that Govinda had gifted her years ago. The incident came to light during a vlog posted by Sunita on her YouTube channel, where she candidly shared the ordeal.

In the video, Sunita admitted, “Aaj main itni tension me hoon na, meri engagement ka solitaire pata nahi maine kaha rakh diya. Main wahi doondh rahi hoon par mujhe maalum nahi pad raha hai. Sabka nazar waha par tha, itna mehenga tha.” The ring, symbolising a milestone in their relationship, held both sentimental and monetary value for her.
Seeking peace of mind, Sunita visited the revered Mumba Devi Temple to seek blessings. She noted that she had visited the same temple many years ago with Govinda. She said, “Bohot saal pehle main Govinda ke saath aayi thi yahan darshan karne. Aaj itna achcha darshan karaya hai. Meri suhaag ki hamesha raksha karti hai. Mere suhaag ki hamesha raksha karti hai. Mera suhaag mera hi rahega. Chichi mujhe bohot pyaar karte hai aur chahe koi bhi duniya me aye ya chala jaye lekin hum kabhi ek dusre ko chhodenge nahin.”
Relieved moments later, she revealed that the ring was not lost after all. It had been inside her bag all along. The relief was evident in her tone as she shared the resolution with her followers.
The anecdote arrived amid swirling speculation about the couple’s relationship. Govinda and Sunita, who tied the knot in 1987, have two children: Tina Ahuja and Yashvardan Ahuja. Last year, the actor was injured from a bullet wound in his leg, and in the months that followed, rumours began circulating about a potential separation between the pair.
However, with this public moment of vulnerability and togetherness, Sunita’s message appears clear: despite the rumours, the bond remains unbroken. The incident, though unsettling for her, underscores the personal value of keepsakes in marital lives and the emotional relief that comes with recovering them.
