The Madras High Court Chief Justice’s XI lost to Advocate General’s XI at the ninth edition of the T-20 rolling trophy match held at the M.A. Chidambaram cricket stadium at Chepauk in Chennai on Saturday (February 28, 2026). This is the eighth time that the judges have lost to the lawyers with the only exception being the third edition of the match held in January 2020.

Though Justice N. Sathish Kumar, the on-field captain of Chief Justice’s XI, won the toss and chose to bat first, the Advocate General’s XI, led by its on-field captain V. Ramesh, succeeded in containing the opponents to just 111 runs after losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Given the conditions of the pitch, this was considered an easily reachable total in the second innings.
