Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy proposed to host a follow-up meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Hyderabad every July.

One year is a very long time for follow ups in modern business cycle and making investment decisions. The WEF should organise another follow up forum every year either in July or August in Hyderabad. “I request to join me in making this happen, to bring a July WEF Forum to Hyderabad,” he said.

The Chief Minister’s proposal received unanimous support from global business leaders and policy makers, during the ‘Join The Rise’ event held in Davos. He explained the audience that the recent Telangana Rising Global Summit was highly successful attracting investments worth over ₹5.75 lakh crore. Buoyed by the massive success of the event, Telangana had decided to talk to the WEF about hosting the follow up forum in Hyderabad.

The event showcased the growth framework and the vision for 2047 and it featured the launch of Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH) and Telangana Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026-2030. Participants were explained about Telangana’s game-changer projects like roads, Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion, rejuvenation of rivers, lakes and water bodies. Plans for new economic zones, building a new city, and a new manufacturing zone to become a China +1 alternative option also formed part of the presentation by the Telangana Rising delegation.

The Chief Minister informed the attendees that Hyderabad, which was a global hub for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), was being developed as India’s first city to be operational 24 hours — with a focus on night-time economy on both sides of the River Musi. Film star Chiranjeevi who was in attendance stood as special attraction at the event.
