A24 has unveiled the first trailer for Kristoffer Borgli’s The Drama, the upcoming feature in which Zendaya and Robert Pattinson play an engaged couple whose wedding plans begin to slip off course.

The film, opening April 3, 2026, follows an engaged couple whose plans for a quiet, celebratory wedding begin to fracture after a revelation disrupts their carefully maintained calm. Zendaya plays Emma Harwood, an editor at a publishing house, while Robert Pattinson stars as Charlie Thompson, a British museum director. The trailer introduces them in a posed, photo-shoot setting that quickly becomes strained as the pair struggle to articulate convincing affection.

Borgli, known for his off-kilter dark comedy Dream Scenario, directs from his own screenplay, with Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen and Tyler Campellone producing. While his previous film skewered personal mythmaking through surreal escalation, The Drama appears more grounded portrait of a relationship.

The supporting cast includes Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim and Hailey Gates. Zendaya enters the film following upcoming turns in HBO’s next season of Euphoria and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, while Pattinson arrives after roles in Die My Love and Nolan’s ensemble.
