The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday ordered an interim stay till April 8 on the contempt of court cases pending before the Single Bench with regard to the Karthigai Deepam row.
A Division Bench of Justices N. Sathish Kumar and M. Jothiraman hearing the Letters Patent Appeals filed by the State ordered an interim stay and posted the matter for hearing to April 8.
The court also directed the High Court Registry to number and list another batch of Letter Patent Appeals for hearing on April 8.
