Three people, including a woman, lost their lives in two separate road accidents on NH-16 here on Sunday (March 15, 2026). Both accidents occurred along the stretch between Sheela Nagar and Old Gajuwaka, once again raising serious concerns about the safety of this busy corridor.
In the first incident, two people died and two others sustained severe injuries after a speeding lorry rammed into motorcycles waiting at a traffic signal at BHPV Junction.
