Tiruvallur district police have detained three youths under the Goondas Act. They were arrested in connection with a country-made bomb attack on a youth near Kadambathur.
The accused, Mukesh, 21, Abhimanyu, 21, and Vinothkumar, 24, are currently lodged in Puzhal prison. They were arrested last month for attempting to murder Sethu, 26, of Chittrampakam by throwing a country-made bomb at him on August 20.
Following their arrest, the accused were remanded in judicial custody in Puzhal prison. Police said all three men have several pending cases against them.
