The Tiruchi Railway Division has put in place a queue system at major stations such as Tiruchi, Thanjavur, and Villupuram to manage the surge in passenger movements during the upcoming Deepavali festival holidays.

The system is diligently enforced by the Railway Protection Force to ensure smooth and orderly boarding and enhanced safety besides a hassle-free travel experience for passengers.

Additional staff and information or enquiry booths have been established to assist passengers while the public address systems, clear signage, barricades, and regulated entry and exit points are in place to facilitate smooth movement within the railway station premises.

The RPF and the Travelling Ticket Examiners are working in close coordination to deboard unreserved passengers from reserved coaches and guide them to the appropriate general compartments to ensure passenger safety, a press release from the Tiruchi Railway Division said on Thursday.
