The Special Court for POCSO Act, Chengalpattu, convicted and sentenced two men for kidnapping and raping a minor girl.
The incident occurred on November, 25,2022, when the convicts Rajendran, 60, and Devaraj, 57, approached the victim who was playing in the streets. They lured the child to one of their houses and raped her.
Based on information from the grandfather of the victim, a case was registered at Vandalur, All Women Police Station for offences including rape under the provisions of Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences(POCSO) Act.
During the course of investigation, both accused were arrested for kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault of a minor girl and was sent to judicial custody.
