Two migrant workers from Odisha died after they fell from a roof while dismantling a structure at an old granite company in Vettuvankeni near Neelankarai on Saturday afternoon.
Police said the workers were part of a team engaged in removing metal sheets from the roof and iron support structures of the warehouse. An iron rod supporting the setup collapsed while they were working.
The deceased were identified as M. Babu Malik, 32, and B. Sasikanth Malik, 42, both hailing from Odisha.
