Two painting workers were killed in a late-night road accident at Balussery in Kozhikode, Kerala, on Thursday. The deceased were identified as M. Sajinlal, 31, and K. Bijeesh.
Their motorcycle was reportedly run over by a lorry after a head-on collision.
The police have registered a case against the lorry driver and impounded the vehicle.
The two victims, hailing from Thiruthiyad, met with the accident while going to purchase food from a hotel. They succumbed to the injuries on the spot, the police said.
