Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 132.95 feet

Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Saturday stood at 132.95 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 4,711 cusecs and a discharge of 1,867 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 65.85 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 1,794 cusecs and a discharge of 869 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 9233.46 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday was (in mm): Periyar 28, Thekkadi 21, Gudalur 8.4, Uthamapalayam 4.4, Shanmuganadhi 3.2 and Veerapandi 2.6.
