Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 135.15 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 731 cusecs and a discharge of 1,000 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 69.09 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 684 cusecs and a discharge of 969 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 10,520.67 mcft. Rainfall recorded during the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Monday was (in mm): Madurai 30.8, Viraganur 11.2, Sathiyar dam 10.4, Mettupatti 2.8, Andipatti 2.6, Idayapatti 2 and Pulipatti 1.2.
