Jen Shah definitely has some fences to mend with her former castmates on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City following her release from prison in December 2025.
Cameras were rolling when Jen made a hasty excuse to exit the RHOLSC trip to Vail, Colorado, in March 2021 after receiving an urgent phone call on the cast’s sprinter van. Within minutes, police arrived on the scene searching for Jen — but she was nowhere to be found.
Jen was arrested later that day on suspicion of being involved in a telemarketing scam targeting the elderly. After initially denying the charge, Jen ultimately pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in July 2022 and was sentenced to 78 months behind bars. (She was released from the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, on December 10, 2025, after serving less than three years of her six-and-a-half-year sentence.)
Real Housewives head honcho Andy Cohen made it clear in December 2025 that Jen would not be welcomed back to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. In fact, Andy said he could not “see Bravo working with [Jen] again” in any capacity.

Lisa Barlow
Jen Shah’s former bestie Lisa Barlow admitted to Access Hollywood in September 2023 that it was “kind of a relief” when Jen exited The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City after season 3.
“Everything had to be about Jen, in the past,” Lisa complained. “So, it wasn’t like you were seeing everybody else’s perspectives. It was like acquiescing to Jen.”
Lisa went even further when she admitted that “it wasn’t like [she] missed” Jen during production on RHOSLC season 4.
“I forgot when we started filming that, like, ‘Hey, Jen used to be a part of this,’” she added. “There was so much other stuff going on that you didn’t miss that other element.”
Appearing on the “Scheananigans with Scheana Shay” podcast in October 2024, Lisa said she’d heard from a mutual friend that Jen wanted to have a relationship “with me and Meredith” once she was released from prison.
“Jen’s crazy but she’s harmless at the end of the day … unless you’re elderly,” Lisa said with a laugh.
Heather Gay
During an RHOSLC season 4 confessional interview, Heather Gay said it felt like “a weight [was] lifted” when Jen left the show.
“I felt like I couldn’t be honest with Jen,” she explained. “With everything she had going on in her life, the stakes were way too high. It was not a time to talk about our friendship and to work on boundaries.”
With Jen in prison, Heather admitted that it was finally time to “shut the door on [their relationship] and move on.”
Heather dropped a bombshell at the Salt Lake City season 4 reunion when she finally confirmed that Jen gave her a black eye during a wild night on a cast trip in season 3.
“Honestly, it was a lot of drinking and the next morning I woke up with a black eye,” Heather confessed. “I knew I had gotten it from Jen. I didn’t know how, but I knew I had gotten it from Jen. She was the first person I texted. She came in the room. She said, ‘Did I give that to you?’ and I said, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll cover.’”

Heather was asked by Access Hollywood in November 2025 about Andy Cohen’s refusal to bring Jen back on RHOSLC.
“It felt good … [Andy] answered the question for us so I don’t really have to,” she said. “[Andy] said he doesn’t ever want to see [Jen] again and he’s who I really report to, so I don’t even have to consider it!”
Meredith Marks
Meredith Marks certainly had her ups and downs with Jen throughout their three seasons together on RHOSLC. She told E! News in September 2022 that she was “shocked” by Jen’s guilty plea and felt the whole situation was “sad all the way around.”
“Whether Jen was innocent or not, I always thought that she at least believed in her innocence,” Meredith said. “So for her to switch that plea was really shocking to me and I’m sure we’ll learn more of the back story. I don’t think it’s something she can really talk about until after sentencing. It’s still an open case.”
At the time, Meredith said she was willing to put the past behind her to support her Salt Lake City costar in her time of need.
“I think Jen obviously needs support now,” she insisted. “I’m not the judge, I’m not the jury, it is not my job to convict her, it’s not my job to sentence her. So yes, I’ve been in touch and checking in to make sure she’s OK. She’s been through a lot and it takes its toll. It’s emotionally very difficult I would imagine.”
Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly in February 2025, Meredith reacted to news from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBP) that Jen’s sentence had been reduced. (At the time, the FBP projected a possible November 3, 2026, prison release date, though Jen was ultimately freed earlier on December 10, 2025.)
“I mean, you know, that’s not my call. That’s someone else’s call,” she told Us. “But, good for her.”
Whitney Rose
Whitney Rose broke her silence about Jen’s plea deal during a November 2022 appearance on the “Pay Attention Puh-Lease!” podcast, where she said she tried to give her costar the benefit of the doubt.
“At one point in time, I was like maybe she really did get screwed over, and people did this and turned on her,” Whitney said. “She screamed innocence so loudly. And if we even tried to talk to her about it, she would get so mad and shut us down.”
The Wild Rose Beauty founder recalled finally feeling like she’d “built an actual friendship” with Jen before the guilty plea was announced.
“To have her kind of not tell anyone and just go in and plead guilty was shocking,” she acknowledged. “I thought she’d fight it to the end, based on what she was telling me. [She said] she’s innocent, she’s gonna fight it to the end. But there was breadcrumbs everywhere and none of it ever made sense. And so now it makes sense.”
Rose chatted with Phaedra Parks for Access Hollywood in September 2025 about the prospect of Jen returning to Salt Lake City once she was out of prison.
“I have no idea [if she’s coming back] but when it gets closer, I’m going to call you and see how you feel about that,” she joked with the RHOA alum.
Mary Cosby
Mary Cosby showed no sympathy for her RHOSLC nemesis when Jen was arrested. She even admitted on the Bravo show that she “prayed” Jen would be found guilty of fraud.
When Jen’s plea deal was announced, Mary posted a triumphant Instagram Story that read: “Thou shalt not steal … shahscamming. #Prayersanswered #Godsfavorite #guilty.”
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in October 2023, Mary confirmed that she’d had no contact with Jen since she went to prison.
“I didn’t want contact with Shah when she wasn’t incarcerated,” Mary quipped.
Mary opened up exclusively to Us about where she stands with Jen now in October 2025. She admitted that the “worst” and “darkest part” of her RHOSLC journey was when Jen tried to expose criticism of her church and marriage. (Mary’s husband, Robert Cosby Sr., was her stepgrandfather before their 1998 marriage.)
“[Jen] put that out there, and then people took it and ran with it,” Mary alleged.
The Faith Temple Pentecostal Church evangelist admitted to Us that her feud with Jen “came with the territory” of being on a reality show.
“[I] let it go,” she said. “I just understood that this was part of my journey. When you’re strong enough, you go through some type of trial. Some type of change, some type of darkness, like I did, because I was able to get through it, I was able to handle it, and I was ready, but at the time, I didn’t know that.”
Angie Katsanevas
RHOSLC bolstered its cast in season 3 with the addition of Angie Katsanevas as a friend of the Housewives. Angie joined the Bravo show at the most hectic time possible, as the cast was grappling with the implications of Jen’s arrest.
Angie tried to rally support by throwing a party for Jen’s husband, Sharrieff Shah, at her home, but this only led to bad blood between the two. Jen reacted explosively when Angie accused her of not paying her back for the party.
“I was supposed to open my house, not open up my wallet. And you haven’t said a word,” Angie vented on RHOSLC, with Jen firing back: “I gave you a $65,000 necklace! Don’t lie, Angie.”

Angie revealed where she stood with Jen on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show in 2022. Angie claimed that Jen took the jewelry off her own neck and handed it to her as some sort of compensation for “Sharrieff’s party.”
“This is a necklace that [she’s] been wearing. She’s had it for months. It’s scratched,” Angie claimed. “I felt really manipulated in that moment.”
Angie was asked by Andy Cohen on stage at Bravocon 2025 whether she’d prefer to have Jen or Monica Garcia back on RHOSLC. (Monica joined the Bravo show in season 4.)
“That’s really easy for me, and [the audience] may or may not like this,” she began. “But, Jen at least was fun and funny, and had redeeming qualities. That’s how much I don’t like Monica.”
Monica Garcia
Monica Garcia joined The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City in season 4 following her former employer Jen’s departure.
Monica once worked as one of Jen’s assistants and alleged on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in October 2023 that she was offered a spot on Jen’s “marketing” team. According to Monica, she called the Secret Service to report Jen after discovering her scheme to defraud elderly customers.
As Andy questioned her about the accusation, Monica insisted that she “didn’t start this case” against Jen and “wasn’t even a key witness.”
“There were times [when] it was a little scary for sure … but it was the right thing to do [to report Jen],” she told Andy. “Everyone calls me a rat and whatever. Squeak squeak.”
When news broke about Jen’s pending prison release in November 2025, Monica tagged RHOSLC via Instagram and warned: “Be careful what you wish for.”
Monica left RHOSLC after a single season in 2024.
