Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam, hosted the grand finale of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Hardware Edition, from December 8 to 12.

Twenty finalist teams comprising 119 students and 18 mentors from nine States addressed themes in renewable and sustainable energy, disaster management, transportation and logistics, and smart education. Winning teams across the four themes were awarded ₹1.5 lakh each for their innovative and scalable solutions. At the prize distribution ceremony held on the college premises on Friday, institute chairman S.V. Balasubramaniam, chief guests industrialist Sri Ravi Sam and Sundar Muruganandhan, Managing Director of Versa Drives Private Limited, along with other dignitaries, including Sarim Moin from the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and SIH Nodal Centre Heads Udyan Maurya and Shyamal Kishore, presented the awards to the winners.
